Teacher Profile

I am a graduate of the University of the Witwatersrand and hold a Master’s Degree in French Literature (passed with distinction). I also hold a diploma in Marketing and Advertising.

After having spent 4 years in the advertising industry, I decided to go back to what I love doing – sharing the journey of discovering the French language with my students.

I gained invaluable experience teaching and lecturing in many educational institutions including the Alliance Française, UNISA, Wits Language School, Wits University, Jeppe High School and the Holy Rosary School. This exposed me to many different learning methodologies, some more effective than others.

Because I personally conduct all classes, you are assured of having a competent, well qualified, enthusiastic and committed teacher at all times.

The three-tier method that I have developed, facilitates and accelerates the learning process. I came to understand that the use of multiple sources of information, rather than a single source, is the key to success. With a variety of methods and different approaches, the learning experience is enhanced and expedited.    

I have over 20 years of experience teaching French and over 15 years of experience teaching business French. I have also done a great deal of translation and interpreting over the past two decades.

I operate independently and have done so for over 15 years.

As indicated above, I work with many large French subsidiaries based in South Africa, as well as South African companies that do business with Francophone Africa.

I am an employee of Sogea Satom, a French owned company based in the East Rand of Johannesburg. I’ve been learning French for more than 2 years now and I must say that I am progressing very well. The French language is a very difficult language but through the facilitation of Mr. Eric Koseff it has turned out to be rather fascinating. He is very professional and makes the language easy to understand. The study tools that he uses in class are extremely helpful and we always want to do our best under his guidance. Bon courage!

Eric has a wonderfully interactive method for teaching which is both practical and entertaining. As a group, we have enjoyed working together, listening to songs, and using the multiple books he used.
